The heart for widows foundation was inaugurated on the 22nd January, 2011 and is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC/IT/NO 52783).

Our mission is to care for, support and economically empower the widow to cater for herself and her children.

June 23rd every year marks the International Widows Day (IWD) according to the United Nations. We, however, celebrated this year’s IWD on Saturday June 28th, in order to make it convenient for all our guests.

In 2012, We formed the Widows in HFWF into a Cooperative Society and this year We launched an appeal to raise funds for the establishment of a Small Scale Enterprise for the purpose of producing and marketing Candles. This project will be run by the Widows through the Cooperative Society- ROSES CICS LTD.

We wish to express our gratitude to the friends of the Foundation in Nigeria, United Kingdom and North Ireland for making this a memorable occasion for the Widows through their pledges and gifts in Cash and Food items. God bless you all.
